i recently had an operation and was told my the depot/operations manager that i would recieve full sick pay as i am salaried but after recieving my wage slip i have not recieved it i have asked for it back but the answer i was given that it was a mistake on his behalf and i wont be getting it

I think this will turn on what your contract says about sick pay. There is no implied right to full sick pay. if your contract says that as a "salaried" worker you are entitled, you should get it. I would see about taking the matter further by way of a grievance before you go any further though.
