Back last year I was pulled over on the motorway for exiting a motorway late and told I would get 3 points and a £60 fine. I was moving house shortly afterwards and completely forgot about it. The police had my mobile number but I never heard anything more. It appears a court date was then set and details sent to my old address. I received a letter to my new address with details of a fine that the court had given in my absence. Ringing the court I explained I was not aware of the court date and they said I had to make a statutory declaration. The court date is this Friday 20/1/12. I'm not really sure what I should say or what I could take with me to help, or what I can expect to happen on Friday. Will they offer me the original points and fine of £60? Many thanks for your help
